Our 1st RCI Vacation - Las Vegas

Posted by White Point Vacation Club Team on July 22nd, 2009
Our first RCI vacation was definitely one we will always remember…in January 2009, we left behind frigid cold temperatures and snow in Nova Scotia for a glorious and exciting week in Las Vegas, Nevada with temperature there ranging between 72 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit.  We enjoyed a suite at the luxurious  Hilton Grand Vacation Club Hotel on the strip. It’s true, there is so much to see and do in Sin City….besides having a bit of luck gambling, and experiencing some of the best shopping malls ever, including the famous Miracle Mile shopping Mall dsc_00091dsc_00581vegas3-2981including Coach, Tous, Prada, Louis Vuitton and Michael Kors, we saw lions at MGM ..we took in the Elton John Concert at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace, The Price Is Right at Bally’s, plus we also rented a car for the week and were able to drive to see the Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon in Nevada, the Grand Canyon in Arizona, and being only 3 and 1/2 hours away, we drove to Los Angeles, right up to the Hollywood sign,  even walked on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and shopped on Rodeo Drive.  The food in Vegas was incredible…and not at all expensive….you can opt for an all you can eat buffet for under $15.00, or a more formal restaurant setting for under $25.00 or grab a hotdog and beer for $3.00…there is something for everyone.

We enjoyed ourselves immensely, so much so that we went back again and will most likely go again sometime.  We highly recommend this as a vacation spot for couples and also for those with children…there is so much to do and see for all ages.

Thanks to RCI, we are eagerly planning our next vacation to Hawaii in the fall..so check back then for our trip highlights!

A Great 2 Days at White Point!

Posted by White Point Vacation Club Team on July 13th, 2009
We used our bonus stays to book a cottage for two days with our family.
Our vacation cottage was just what we needed. We went to the beach, they jumped in the waves while some sat on the sand and caught up while others went golfing. Then the kids went to the inside pool and swam until it was time to go back for dinner.

The kitchen had every thing we needed , you folks at WHIT POINT have not forgoten an thing in that cottage.

Next day … more beach , facepainting for the little one, pingpong and pool for some , paddle boat rides , and the golf course again for some. And of course, more swimming.

Back to the cottage for a familt BBQ, a fire in the fire place and smores for everyone. Then we played games around the table , just wonderful family time.

Day 3 we were on our way back to our homes. Sorry to say good-bye to our family and cottage. We left with tears and a lot of wonderful memories .

AS THE SONG SAYS “ THANK WHITE POINT FOR THE MEMORIES”.

Last Call for 2-for-1 Golf at White Point Beach Resort!

Posted by White Point Vacation Club Team on July 6th, 2009

Ahhhh…summer at White Point has sprung and until Thursday this week, guests at the Resort can still enjoy 2 for 1 rounds of golf on this playful seaside golf course. Members of White Point Golf Club have been impressed with the conditions and overall continued improvements since the Resort has taken over Management of the Course.

The Clubhouse offers a refreshing beverage on the deck overlooking the course and the ocean - the Clubhouse Sandwich made with fresh turkey comes highly recommended!

Be sure to say “Hi” to Golf Pro, Dave Kemshead on your way through - and don’t be shy about asking for a lesson!
