Linda & Jerry’s Daytona 500 Vacation, Feb. 2008

Posted by White Point Vacation Club Team on May 8th, 2008

Our vacation in Florida was a very exciting and very busy time.
We went for the Daytona 500 (NASCAR Races) and had a busy schedule planned just for the races. On our days when we weren’t at the track we did some sight seeing - the weather was absolutely gorgeous!
We were so pleased to find out how friendly the people were and very eager to please us, the hospitality was outstanding there. With our busy schedule we didn’t get much time to just relax but when we did we thoroughly enjoyed. We walked on the beach for over a mile and everyone we met on the beach spoke to us in a friendly way - as if we were neighbours. There is so much to see and do there so we’d like to go back and spend our time just doing as we please and relaxing. We found it so easy to find our way around there, and their roads are so good.

We are thinking of looking in to a Time Share there or maybe even buying a house there for when we retire; we’d move there in a heart beat! Our time in Daytona Beach was one we won’t forget and we look forward to returning there.

Dave & Nicole’s Vacation to Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico 2007

Posted by White Point Vacation Club Team on May 8th, 2008

We stayed at the Mayan Palace which had the second largest pool in Latin America with 5 extraordinary restaurants on-site.  The picture at the restaurant was taken at El Dorados in Puerto Vallarta,  which was without a doubt, the best meal I have ever eaten with the best service too. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it!  The restaurant was outdoors, with the ocean twenty feet in front of our table and lit torches surrounding us.  It was extremely romantic.  The mariachi band was certainly a special touch.

We went on a day excursion to a private island called Las Calitas - here Dave went swimming with the Sea Lion and had a terrififc time. It was a beautiful hour and a half boat ride to this island where we spent the day kayaking, snorkeling, and visiting the wild life.  They offered pottery classes, guided tours through an orchid garden, and visits with monkeys, snakes, parrots and owls.

It was indeed a wonderful trip.
